IB tok Essay Topics - Learn the New Tasks During the Fall SemesterFor the most part, I've learned the names of the main IB tok essay topics for the fall semester. Here's a look at how they stack up against last year's topics.This year, two big names are gone. One of the biggest reasons these topics have gotten more challenging is that we are returning to the previous format of more topics per section and fewer sections per topic. The chances of a student covering more topics this year than in the past will increase, although it's still not a guaranteed to result in a higher score.Both topics that appeared last fall are back and expect to get a boost from the new syllabus. Two very popular topics, Living in the US and Building a Network, are back for another year.Beyond those two very popular topics, one of the most popular has to do with how to analyze the global economy. Other topics that I'm pretty excited about including addressing the problem of police misconduct and poverty as w ell as globalization and global economic development. As always, students are expected to research these topics extensively to fully grasp the material presented.One other reason for the return to the previous high syllabus ranking is that many of the current topics have been split up. So a section will focus on one issue or may combine some topics from earlier in the semester into one section. Even though it's been slightly adjusted for the fall semester, you can still see all of the topics listed at the top of this page.Some students find that they're too tired to take a break and are forced to complete the material before they start their sleep. When I'm doing an IB or essay, I try to get a few hours of sleep as it makes me think much better. Other students may not have enough time or energy for any breaks or getting to sleep, but you may still have the ability to do your material during the night.The best thing to do is find out what type of student you are. If you feel good about writing in the middle of the night, try not to be distracted by other things going on in your life. On the other hand, if you have trouble sleeping or have never written anything of this length, try finding an evening when you can really relax and get some quality sleep.
